Stress Busters

“I am stressed out” is the sentence which is heard now and then, not only the wordings of teens but even of a kid. From my point of view, stress is a natural feeling of not being able to cope up with specific events and demands. These demands can come from work, peer pressure, relationships, and other situations. But don’t forget who all didn’t have faced problems in life. Even our great personalities have faced it but what was the difference between them and us??? Actually, they made these problems their strength and ultimately they came up with flying colours rather than being stressed and depressed in their life. Now, let’s take an example for our better understanding. Imagine yourself taking a roller-coaster ride in the park. Now the situation can be stressful as well as filled with joy. So it depends on you!!!! I hope you are understanding what I am trying to convey. See life is like a game, first you have to learn rules of the game and then play it better than anyone else. Always keep in mind that half a loaf is better than none. Don’t ever try to greed for something, it will lead to stress. Comparing your abilities with your friends' abilities will be of no use.



MY WAYS

Everyone has different ways of handling stress in their life. I will tell you some of my stress busters which really helps me to cope up with stressful conditions. What is yours???

Music:- One of my best stress reliever. Close the door and play loud music, is the common practice I do when I am stressed. It is scientifically proven that music has a profound effect on our emotions and body. Faster music makes you feel more alert and helps you to build better concentration. It makes you feel more positive and optimistic. Slow tempo music can relax your mind and muscles which soothes your body.

Candy Crush:- Download it as soon as possible!!! Whenever I feel stressed I just open my phone, click on candy crush saga, and start playing it. Actually, games are positively linked to reducing symptoms of stress.

Pet:- It is my great antidote to stress and frustration. Pets can reduce stress, anxiety, loneliness, and can even improve your cardiovascular health. Pets can add real joy and unconditional love to your life, so buy a pet for yourself. I have a dog named 'Oscar' I play with him when I am stressed. It actually releases oxytocin hormone in dogs or also called ‘ attachment hormone' will go up. And so do yours.

Exercise and Meditation:- I wished that exercise was available as a pill then I think I would be taking it every day. One reason is that exercise is very good at defusing stress. If you exercise when you feel stressed you actually burn off stress hormones, instead of letting them pile up. Even I do breathing exercises that help me in stressful conditions.

Sleep:- It is the best stress healer, wants to hear a joke ‘Go for a long sleep’ like Kumbha Karna( Brother of Ravana). Yes, I am very much serious but keep in mind, never keep an alarm clock with you. LOL!

Dancing:- Wait!!!! I know, I don’t remember steps but I still love to dance!! You should switch on your dance mode. I personally dance as if no one is watching me. Not only dancing, but you can also pursue any of your hobbies like singing, painting, playing, etc.
